The Scriptures

We believe and teach that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, written by “holy men of God” who were so guarded by the Holy Spirit as to be kept from error in the original writings. These writings have been so preserved by God through the ages as to be now our only infallible rule and authority in all matters of faith and practice. (II Sam. 232:1-2; II Tim. 3:16; II Peter 1:21; Heb. 1:1-2)

God

We believe and teach that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, the same in essence and equal in power and glory. (Gen. 1:26; Deut. 6:4; Matt. 3:13-17; II Cor. 13:14; I Tim. 2:5)

1. We believe in God the Father, the fullness of the Godhead invisible, the Divine source.

2. We believe in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, that He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, that He is true God and true Man in one person. (Isa. 7:14; Matt. 1:22,23; John 1:1,14; I Tim. 2:5)

3. We believe that Jesus Christ died a substitutionary death on Calvary for the whole world, being made sin for us. He rose bodily from the grave and He ascended into Heaven where He now is our Advocate and High Priest at the right hand of the Father. (Isa. 53:5,6; Lk. 24:39; II Cor. 5:21; Heb. 4:14-16, 7:25,26)

4. We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person who glorifies Christ, convicts the world of sin, seals and indwells the believer at salvation, leads into a life of increasing likeness to Jesus Christ, and empowers the believers for Christian witness. (John 14:26; Acts 1:8; John 16:8-11; II Cor. 3:18; Gal. 4:6; Eph. 1:13,14)

Man

We believe and teach that man was created in the image of God; that he fell from his state of righteousness in the Fall of Adam as the federal head of the human race. As a consequence of the Fall, all men are depraved by nature and are under the just condemnation of God. (Gen. 1:26; Gen. 3:1-7; Rom. 5:12-19)

Salvation

We believe and teach that salvation is entirely of God, being by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. He has paid the price of our redemption through His substitutionary death at Calvary. We believe and teach the necessity of the new birth through the cleansing power of the blood of Christ. The sinner is born again when he repents of his sins and receives by faith Christ as Savior and Lord. (John 3:3-5; Eph. 2:8,9; Lk. 13:3-5; Matt. 26:28; Rom. 3:21-31, 5:6-9, 10:9,10; II Cor. 5:21; Gal. 3:13; I Peter 1:18,19)

We believe and teach that one who has truly been born of the Spirit has everlasting life and shall never come into condemnation or lose his salvation. (John 3:36; 10:28,29)

The Church

We believe and teach the Church to be the body and bride of the Lord Jesus Christ, composed of all who have been born again. (I Cor. 12:13; Eph. 1:22,23)

We believe and teach that there are but two divine ordinances that the Lord desires us to practice, baptism and the Lord’s Supper. (I Cor. 11:23-34; Matt. 28:19)

We believe and teach that Christians should meet together to worship God and to fellowship with and edify one another. Christians should obey personally the Lord’s commission to evangelize the world by praying, giving, and witnessing. (Matt. 9:38; Mk. 16:15; Acts 1:8, 2:42; Eph. 4:11-16; Heb. 10:25)

Satan

We believe and teach that Satan is a person, a fallen angel, the author of the Fall of man, the god of this age. He is a defeated foe and his destiny is eternal punishment. (Gen. 3:1-7; Job 1,2; II Cor. 4:4; Eph. 2:2; Heb. 2:14; Rev. 20:7-10)

Eschatology

We believe and teach the personal, bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ prior to the Great Tribulation and the Millennium to rapture His church from the earth. (John 14:1-3; I Cor. 15:51-53; I Thess. 4:15-5:11; Titus 2:13)
