Emma - Easter Baby

Biographical sketch....let's see....

Married Wesley A. Stephens on April 11, 1998 in Midway, Kentucky. We live in Lexington, KY (Horse Capital of the World). We had Emma Bailey Stephens on November 17, 2000, weighing in at 9 lbs. 13 oz.

Christmas letter below the next picture of Emma.

     On November 17, 2000, Wes and I had a beautiful baby girl named Emma Bailey Stephens. She weighed 9 pounds - 13 ounces and 20 ½ inches in length. (And yes, she did have that much hair when she was born! - see picture) We expected Emma to arrive on November 4th (and to be a boy), but decided that she was hesitant to come into a world without a President-elect. She has drastically altered our lives in the most amazing way. Wes is the most wonderful daddy, and being a mommy is beyond my dreams.
     Wes continues to work for Qwest Communications as a Channel Sales Manager in the Mid-West Region, where he has made the Elite Network for the fourth straight year. We are very fortunate that he is able to work from home so that he can witness Emma’s daily changes, as well as change a few diapers!
     I resigned my position as director of the Children’s Advocacy Center after two and on-half great years, in order to stay home as a full-time mommy. However, again we were blessed that I got a part-time job with the Governor’s Office as a Program Director, and much of my work can be done at home as well.
     We still try to make time for hobbies. Wes is still a sports-a-holic (and influencing his daughter - see picture), especially golf (even if it drives him crazy). And I am beginning another season of my passion - tennis. Other than that, mostly we are parents and loving every minute of it!
