Calvary Christian School is a PreK-12 school that has provided a Christian
education for students in the Grand Strand area since 1974. Our
founding purpose, to help parents "train a child in the way he should go,"
continues to be our guiding principle today. With the Bible as our
foundation, and with Christ as our focus, we seek to provide a spiritual and
educational environment that allows students to study all subjects in the
light of God's Word, so "That in all things He might have the preeminence"
(Colossians 1:18).

A SOLID FOUNDATION
Because we are foremost a Christian school, we teach the fundamental
Biblical principles to which we are committed. We believe that the
Bible is the inspired Word of God, that Jesus Christ is both God and man,
and that He was crucified, buried, and resurrected from the dead for our
salvation. We believe and teach the Bible with a literal
interpretation! Since the Bible serves as the foundation for study in
all grades, students attend daily Bible classes and weekly Chapel services
with a special, spiritual emphasis each semester.
AN EXCEPTIONAL ENVIRONMENT
Located on Highway 544 in the Socastee community, our 12-acre campus houses
an auditorium, administrative offices, classrooms, an activity center and
cafeteria, a 12,000 square foot gymnasium, a soccer field, baseball and
softball diamonds, a piano studio, and a computer lab. And, most
importantly, you will find teachers that love God and love His children!

Calvary's commitment to academic excellence throughout grades K-12 is
evidenced by its strong test results. In nationally standardized
testing (Stanford Achievement), students in every grade perform well above
their grade level -- and well above the state and national averages!
Additionally, our students have consistently scored above the state and national
averages on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
Over the past six years, an amazing 90% of
CCS graduates have chosen to continue their education at colleges and
universities throughout South Carolina and across the nation! Calvary
